Welcome
Why Oriental Medicine?
With all of the stresses put upon us these days our bodies are trying very hard to keep up, push through and maintain. Chinese medicine is very good at helping to support you, balance your energies and keep you healthy. Western medicine is very helpful when you are sick but it doesn't have many answers before then or much in the way of prevention. Chinese medicine can fill in this gap by helping to balance your system, boost your energy, help you sleep bettter, and strengthen your immune system.

Sports Medicine Acupuncture (TM)
All athletes from the weekend warrior to the professional will find ourselves from time to time with injuries from minor to significant which leave us with the questions: who do I see? what do I need to do to get back into action as quickly as possible? Do I need surgery? And Many of us don't want to be on Anti-inflammatory drugs any more than we need to. One of the key aspect of Acupuncture is that it is fantastic at its ability to reduce inflammation. Sports medicine acupuncture (TM) is a style of acupuncture that looks for the root cause of the injury: was there trauma? Is there an imbalance in the hips that is setting you up for chronic hamstring strain? Is there spondylosis (natural degeneration of the spine) causing less nervous information feeding the musculature causing numbness, tingling, or chronic tendonitis? etc. Once this information is obtained through questioning, manual muscle testing and orthpedic tests we address the root of the problem as well as treating imbalaces in the muscles by treating Motor points (where the nerve inervates the muscle) to rebalance the muscles involved. We can treat most anything that doesn't need surgery from herniated discs to tendonitis.
